Webster's Country Burger Drive-in is a straightforward, no-fuss spot for classic American fast food in the small community of Clements. Sitting right off CA-88, it carries that nostalgic drive-in feel, where grabbing a burger leans toward casual, laid-back dining mostly enjoyed outdoors at tables spaced near parked cars. The seating area is simple but open, giving off an old-school vibe that fits well with the rural surroundings and appeals to locals and travelers seeking a quick, hearty meal.

The menu centers on familiar comfort food, especially burgers, with the Stampede Burger standing out as a touchstone item. There's enough variety here to satisfy different tastes—from corndogs and chicken strips to lighter options like tuna and chicken salad. For sides, the chili cheese fries and classic accompaniments complement the straightforward fare. Root beer and root beer floats add to the retro drive-in experience, particularly appealing on warm days.

Service can be a bit uneven, especially during busy periods, as there's often a small team running the place. It’s the kind of joint where patience pays off—staff acknowledge customers even if you need to wait a little before ordering. The balance of friendly, unpretentious service and solid food makes it a comfortable stop after a day outdoors, like returning from Lake Comanche or cruising along the Sierra foothills.

Webster’s fits locals and visitors who want a break from fast-food chains without the formality of a full-service restaurant. It’s best to come during off-peak times if you want a relaxed experience; otherwise, prepare for a lively rush of families and locals, especially on weekends. The outdoor tables provide a casual setting to enjoy your meal, watch the day unfold, and soak in a slice of small-town California that’s still holding on to a slowed-down, simpler pace.

Great food. One gal working who seemed busy, not sure if there was a cook helping. We witnessed her getting her food dropped off. My husband said if she doesn't help us soon, we are leaving. I wanted to try this place. She eventually took our order and was nice enough. The food was delicious!! If you want tipped, acknowledge your customers. Just let them know you will be with them as soon as you can. The man behind us....left.

The food and service here was fantastic! I also loved the little seating area outside. The place makes me think of old school drive ins, in a good way. They had freezies which is soda and ice cream mixed. They have ice cream, they have good sides, and a lot of burger options.

Coming back from the lake and I wanted a local burger spot and now here we are. I don’t usually eat the things I ordered but today was a cheat day and I’m glad I did. The chili cheese fries were hot and fresh. The Western Wrangler burger was more like a steak sandwich, but it was pretty good even though I don’t think the patties are fresh. What sealed the deal for me was the root beer float. Not sure why it tasted so delicious that I had to order another one. Best part was being able to sit on my tailgate and enjoy the outside and small town feel.

I love the classic retro dine in that's outside near the cars, and the tables are spread out perfectly.

Always meant to stop and finally did after a long week at Lake Comanche. Old school dinner. Food was good, not too greasy. Milkshake was good, add fries, chicken nuggets, 05 of us for under 50 bucks. Wasn't busy when we got there. But shortly after the place got packed, looks like a lot of locals and just there's just a good place to stop.I'll stop next time

So as you might already know definitely a drive up old school style in the small town of Clements…the whole town is only like a block long. Food is really good, prices are awesome. The only problem I really have is when I ordered my double cheese burger ($6) she said “oh so is sauce OK for you” and I’m thinking like thousand Island or of course most people like catchup and mustard so whatever. The burger comes out and what they call sauce was only mayonnaise. Not OK. I also ordered ranch and they forgot it, but they also didn’t charge me for it. Then ordered my friend a ranch burger. Do you think that a ranch burger would come with ranch dressing on it ??… nope…mayonnaise on that one too maybe it’s a ranch burger because it’s on a sub roll and two patties side-by-side like a sandwich? I’m lost. Anyways.. Give it a try.
